Japamala is a Sanskrit word. “Japa” means repetition and “mala” means beaded necklace. Japamalas are a type of meditation rosary, originally from India and widely used in Hindu and Buddhist cultures.

It is an ancient tool developed especially for moments of meditation and introspection, to keep the mind focused and free of thoughts. Japamalas are used to recite mantras, prayers or intentions.
